The highly successful Scrambler brand adds two new models to this year’s range, The Desert Sled and Café racer.
The Desert Sled features an all-new chassis set-up, perfect for “soft off-road” adventure riding and inherits the Urban Enduro logo as an evolution of the outgoing model. Its off-road nature is characterised by a new riding position, a higher seat, a reinforced frame, fully adjustable suspension, a grill on the front headlight and engine protection plus new Pirelli ScorpionTM Rally STR tyres with 19” front / 17” rear spoked wheels.
The Ducati Scrambler Café Racer is the Scrambler’s interpretation of the legendary bikes that created a revolution in the motorcycle world and is an expression of free spirit and an emblem of style. Its “Black Coffee” colour brings back the 60s to today’s Land of Joy. The typical Scrambler teardrop tank with interchangeable panels is combined with a new seat, specially designed and equipped with a seat cover for the passenger. The handlebars with mirrors attached to the ends are typical of 60s racing; the same goes for the Termignoni exhaust with double silencer, the headlight fairing, the side number holders and the new Pirelli Diablo Rosso II with 17” aluminium wheels. The styling is a clear reference to the style of the Rockers that in those days sped through the streets of the English cities.
These two new additions join the 803cc Scrambler range that includes the full throttle, Classic and Icon. The main changes to the existing Scramblers are the inclusion of new colours of silver ice (Icon) and sugar white for the Classic plus the full Scrambler range is now Euro 4 compliant.
The Scrambler Sixty2 remains unchanged for 2017 although now available in three colours, Atomic Tangerine, Ocean Grey and Shining Black. This A2 licence compliant 399c powered Scrambler shares many of the features of its bigger stablemates including being produced at the heart of Ducati in Bologna.
A selection of these models will be on display on a separate stand adjacent to the Ducati stand encompassing all the models, accessories and apparel from the land of joy.
As usual there will be a Ducati store where visitors will be able to buy Scrambler apparel and gifts.
